Top 5 favourite poetry collections

I’ve been loving poetry since I first started reading poetry in the summer of 2017. I wanted to spread my love for poetry and give my top 5 favourite poetry collections.

1. The Chaos of Longing by K.Y. Robinson
The Chaos of Longing
The Chaos of Longing was my first poetry collection and I loved it. It was such a beautiful collection and I was so in awe because I didn’t know that I was going to like it as much as I did because I'd never read poetry before. 2. The Last Time I’ll Write About You by Dawn Lanuza
The Last Time I’ll Write About You was not my second poetry book, but the second poetry book that I loved. This poetry collection is about first love and the break up afterwards. I could really relate to so many poems because we’ve all been through heartbreak. Click here to read my review!

3. the witch doesn’t burn in this one by Amanda Lovelace
I was hearing so many amazing things about the witch doesn’t burn in this one so I just had to read it. And wow, did I enjoy this poetry collection! This collection is about feminism, being confident, rape and many more inspiring subjects. Click here to read my review.

4. milk and honey by Rupi Kaur
milk and honey
milk and honey is one of the most recent poetry collections I read and I had some high expectations because everyone’s still raving about milk and honey. I love this poetry collection because it’s so inspiring. It’s about survival, the experience of violence, abuse, love, loss and feminity. milk and honey was really inspiring and I cannot wait to read the sun and her flowers.

5. Worlds of You by Beau Taplin
The latest poetry collection I read was Worlds of You by Beau Taplin. Worlds of You is a collection of Beau Taplin’s most treasured words and is about love, loss, pain, passion, fear, … So far, this is the best poetry and prose collection written by Beau Taplin and there were so many beautiful and inspiring poems in this collection!
