Synopsis

From Carpinteria, California, we left.
In Arizona, we barely spoke.
In New Mexico, I gave him a promise that I knew I couldn’t keep.
In Texas, we slept under the stars.
In Oklahoma, he told me a story I wouldn’t soon forget.
In Louisiana, he gave my soul a voice.
Between Arkansas and Mississippi, we took full advantage of an opportunity.
In Tennessee, I studied his face.
In Kentucky, he introduced me to his parents.
In Ohio, he found my heart.
In West Virginia, we drank whiskey and told ourselves that truths are better left untold. In Maryland, we felt the weight of the night.
In Pennsylvania, his wife called.
And in New York, I asked myself one question:

Would he be able to let me go when it was time?

Review

This book was provided by the author through InkSlinger PR in exchange for an honest review. Thank you J. Lynn Bailey and InkSlinger PR!

The Light We See is a Romance standalone that tells the story of Cat and Luke.

The Light We See is the sixth book I’ve read by J. Lynn Bailey and I think it’s my favourite one so far. This story is so beautiful, moving and heartbreaking. When I first read the synopsis, I didn’t really know what to think of the story. Now that I’ve read it, I recommend it to everyone.

Cat is such a strong and beautiful woman who’s been through a lot. She didn’t grow up in the perfect family and didn’t really know what true love was. Luke had a warm and loving family and showed Cat what true love was.

I think that The Light We See is a book that everyone has to read. This story is full of hope and love as well as change and a lot of grief. I think that this story has a beautiful message and it gives me the same kind of feelings that Standing Sideways gave me. I cannot wait for the J. Lynn Bailey’s next (emotional) book!
