Review

First of all, I want to thank Alec John Belle for giving me an ARC copy of this book! Thank you so much!

The Forbidden Darkness Chronicles
tells the story of Heather and her friends. A lot of strange things happen days before Heather’s sixteenth birthday. Her best friend, Kristen, tries to commit suicide and Heather’s having a lot of strange dreams. In her dreams, a guy named Kadin visits her and he tells her that she’s a Monster Hunter. It’s all so new for her, so she has to train. One fun thing about training: she has a hot trainer named Philip. Besides monsters, Heather is trying to figure out who Kadin is and what kind of feelings she has for Philip.

The Forbidden Darkness Chronicles
is such a good series. I got the opportunity to read all of the first three books in advance and also the essay, the short stories, the sneak peek and the interview. This series is so amazing because it’s YA/paranormal and talks about a lot of taboos. In the first three books there are some characters who identify themselves as pansexual or homosexual and there’s also a suicide attempt. These are subjects that some authors are afraid to talk about. This is one of the many reasons why I love Alec John Belle and his writing!

The Forbidden Darkness Chronicles is such an original series because you have Monster Hunters, Angels, Demons, Djinns, … I really love the characters, they’re all so unique. The story itself is so good with some plot twists that I didn’t see coming!

I cannot wait to get my hands on this book because it’s so beautiful, I really like the cover with all the elements of the first three books and the interior design is also really beautiful. If you haven’t read The Forbidden Darkness Chronicles make sure to buy this copy because it’s worth the money!
