February favourites

Books
  • V Games: Fresh From The Grave by Caroline Peckham
I really loved the first book, V Games, so I was really happy that I got an ARC copy of the second book. V Games: Fresh From The Grave is such an amazing vampire read and that ending… I cannot wait for the third and last book in this trilogy!
  • Consequences: Opal & Origin (Lux #3–4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I love love love aliens, I’ve always been in love with fantasy stories about aliens or movies about aliens and I love wearing my alien t-shirts. When I got Consequences: Opal & Origin as a Christmas present, I couldn’t wait to start reading it and I loved it! I just love Jennifer L. Armentrout and I cannot get enough of her writing and her books! I will have a review for Opal and one for Origin up in March!
  • Bloom (The Order Series #1) by Nikki Rae
Bloom is the first book in The Order Series and is yet another amazing book written by Nikki Rae! I cannot get enough of Nikki Rae’s books, they’re all so good and interesting and so hard to put down. Make sure to check out my review later this week!
  • Colliding Skies by Debbie Zaken
I love aliens and when I had the opportunity to read an alien book, I just had to accept it and I’m so glad that I did. Colliding Skies is such an amazing alien read and I’m secretly hoping for a sequel because it’s just that good! Keep an eye out for my review in March!
Food & Drinks
  • Lipton Asian White & Rose Tea
I love trying new teas because there can’t be enough tea flavours, right? When I visited my grandpa at the hospital, we went to get some drinks at the cafeteria and I could choose between 8 flavours of tea and I because I didn’t know any of them, I went for Asian White & Rose tea and I’m so happy that I did! It’s such an amazing tea and I cannot wait to buy it!

Make-up
  • Catrice Glam & Doll Volumizing Mascara Primer
In my January make-up expenses, I mentioned that I bought this mascara primer and I started to fell in love with it in February. I really think that this mascara primer makes my lashes longer and more volumizing. I really like the effect and I’m definitely going to buy it again!

Movies
  • Fifty Shades Freed
I was so excited to go see Fifty Shades Freed with my friend and wow, it was worth the wait! Fifty Shades Freed was such a good movie and my friend and I couldn’t stop smiling and falling in love with the movie. I really think that this one is one of my favourite movies from the trilogy!

Shirley Cuypers

Welcome to Shirley Cuypers, your go-to blog for book reviews with a sprinkle of makeup looks, bullet journal inspiration and more. I’m Shirley, a Belgian book blogger who loves to talk about my passion for reading and being creative. On my blog, you will find honest book reviews and reading recommendations, but also creative blog posts such as inspiration for your bullet journal and makeup looks, and lifestyle blog posts like product reviews and tips. Reading has always been my escape. From an early age, you could find me with my nose buried in books. I started reading in Dutch, my native language, but then I discovered the English section in my library and fell in love with English books. On my book blog you can find book reviews and book hauls where I share what I’m currently reading, what I loved and which books I recommend picking up. Whether you enjoy fantasy, romance or young adult, you will find lots of different titles on my blog. My goal is to help other book loves find their next favourite read! Besides books, I occasionally write about makeup, bullet journaling, and other topics. I really enjoy being creative, and I express this by playing with makeup or keeping a bullet journal. You can find several makeup tutorials and bullet journal spreads where I share my creativity with you. These creative outlets balance my reading life, and add a bit of colour to it.
