Review

This book was provided by the author through Xpresso Book Tours in exchange for an honest review. Thank you J. Lynn Bailey and Xpresso Book Tours!

Standing Sideways is a standalone about Livia who’s struggling with the death of her twin brother and with alcohol.

Standing Sideways is the third book I’ve read by J. Lynn Bailey and I cannot get enough of her writing and storytelling. Standing Sideways was different from the other books I’ve read by her, but not in a bad way. It was such a heartbreaking story and just so beautiful.

Livia went through so much when her twin brother died and when you compare Livia from the beginning of the book and the Livia from the ending of the book, you can see two different persons. She changed so much, but in a good way. She’s such a strong character.

I really recommend Standing Sideways because it has such a strong message. I loved the characters and the story in general. I couldn’t help myself from crying because it was such an emotional read. I’m looking forward to reading more of J. Lynn Bailey’s books!
