Fractured Things | Release day blitz

Title: Fractured Things
Series: Folkestone Sins #2
Author: Samantha Lovelock
Release date: 24 November 2020

Synopsis

Poe Halliday could have been my everything. The boy who allowed me to dream again.

Over as quickly as it began, one night ended it all—the hope growing in my heart poisoned by a dark secret spit from cruel and twisted lips.

The secret that stole her from me.

After spending my entire life living with my mother’s demons, I refuse to let them take anything else away from me. My roots are entwined with the shadows haunting that town and running from them isn’t an option anymore. I’m stronger than they think I am, and the only way I can escape this nightmare is to fight.

This time it will be on my terms.

I have to go back.

★★★★★

Stella Bradleigh shone like the brightest star. Able to keep my shadows at bay with nothing but her smile.

I’ve been unknowingly living under the same roof as the devil incarnate—the architect of a horrific event kept secret for so long.

The secret that stole her from me.

When she left, my world turned cold again, and after basking in her warmth, I refuse to let it end this way. From the day she arrived, I knew my heart belonged with hers, and even though I tried to push her away, she became a part of me. The shadows in this town are no match for the ones I carry, and if she lets me, I’ll stand by her side and fight.

This time it will be on her terms.

She has to come back.

Review

This book was provided by the author through Give Me Books Promotions in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Samantha Lovelock and Give Me Books Promotions!

Fractured Things is the second book in the Folkestone Sins series and continues the story of Stella and Poe.

I remember reading Fragile Things in August and I was obsessed with the book. I had to know how the book was going to end and what was going to happen to Stella and Poe. I had the same feeling with Fractured Things. Samantha Lovelock did such an amazing job with Stella and Poe’s duet and I really enjoyed reading their story.

I love reading about Stella. She went through a lot and she doesn’t always feel okay, but she’s badass at the same time. I also love reading about Stella and Sunday. I love reading about their friendship, they’re perfect for each other. And then we have Poe. I cannot not love him. I cannot resist him. I know that what he did was wrong, but just like Stella, I’d forgive him.

As I mentioned in my review of Fragile Things, I liked reading the same scene in both perspectives. It made me like the book even more because you get to know both characters’ thoughts and feelings. Fractured Things was such a good book and I enjoyed every bit of it. I’m so excited to read Sunday and Payne’s duet!!!
