Synopsis

I am nothing.

Nobody.

I’d rather be invisible than deal with what happens on the days my classmates decide to acknowledge my existence.

But then Turner Hall shows up – all cool confidence and witty banter – and all of a sudden I don’t want to be invisible any more. I want to be seen.

I want him to see me.

I’m not who he thinks I am but I’m starting to suspect he’s not all he says he is either.

Just my luck that he starts to make friends with my tormentors. How am I supposed to tell him who I really am? How am I supposed to show him my true face? What if the boy I’m falling in love with decides I’m nothing too?

Review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Kaydence Snow!

Like You Care is the first book in the Devilbend Dynasty series and tells the story of Mena and Turner.

I’ve never read anything by Kaydence Snow before Like You Care, so I didn’t know what to expect. From the moment I started reading Like You Care, I was immediately invested. I really wanted to know how Mena and Turner’s story was going to end. I also really like this book because it talks about bullying and strong friendships.

Mena is born with a purple birthmark, and due to her birthmark people have been bullying her for a long time. I think it’s really sad that people still bully each other for things that people are born with. My heart broke for her because her life hasn’t been easy. I really like her passion for makeup and I love how close she is with her cousins. They’re a tight group of friends. I liked Turner too. At the beginning I was confused by his secrets but once he opened up to Mena, I liked him again.

Like You Care was a good Romance read and I enjoyed reading this book. Like I mentioned above, this is the first book I’ve read by Kaydence Snow, and it won’t be the last one. I really liked getting to know Mena, Turner and Mena’s friends. I’m really excited to read the next book in the series, Like You Hurt. I’m really interested in reading Donna’s story!
