Synopsis

’m the girl who no one wanted. Or the one who got away. Depending on who you ask.

Either way, betrayal and heartache have been my friends for far too long and it’s time for me to start over.

I gave the Harlequin boys a chance to change. A chance to prove that history wasn’t just set to repeat itself. But they failed with spectacular colours.

Maybe it’s time for me to stop running. After all, Sunset Cove has been living under the Harlequins’ thumb for far too long. It’s time to set our demons free and let them burn this place to the ground. Who knows if I’ll survive the fallout? But I guess I’ll soon find out if dead girls can die twice.

This is an enemies to lovers contemporary series where the girl will end up with multiple love interests and all of the characters are in their late twenties.

Review

This book was provided by the authors in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti!

Dead Man’s Isle is the second book in The Harlequin Crew series and continues the story of Rogue and her guys Chase, Fox, JJ and Maverick.

When I got my ARC of Dead Man’s Isle on my Kindle, I got so excited. I mean, I always get excited when I get my hands on a Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti book, but I got really excited about this one because I’m really invested in Rogue’s story. It’s so addictive and I want to know what’s going to happen to her and the guys. And I still have so many questions after finishing Dead Man’s Isle.

I was certain the sun would return tomorrow and my lost girl would once again be there with me to watch it rise.

I really loved reading about Rogue, Chase, Fox, JJ and Maverick again. It was also nice to read about some characters from the Brutal Boys of Everlake Prep series. I hope we get to read some more about them in the third book in The Harlequin Crew series. But let’s talk about Rogue and her men. I really love Rogue and I cannot get enough of all four men. I know that there are going to be people who will hate one or more of the guys, but I love them all. Even though they did some wrong things, I still love all four of them. I’m a sucker for men created by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti!

The two of us really were a pair of damaged creatures. But somehow, when we were together, that fact didn’t seem to hurt so much.

Dead Man’s Isle was such an addictive book. I couldn’t stop reading because I had to know everything that was going to happen in the book. I was so curious to see what Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti put their characters through. If you’ve read some of their other books, you know that they can be real savages. And they were savages because they ended Dead Man’s Isle with a cliffhanger…

Dead Man’s Isle is filled with drama, some funny moments, hot scenes and some love/hate feelings. I really loved reading this book and I’m not surprised. Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti are two of my favourite authors and I love all of their books. Dead Man’s Isle was so well written and fast paced, and I highly recommend The Harlequin Crew series!
