Synopsis

A morte e ritorno.

My family’s motto circles in my mind as I look this problem dead on and try to figure it out.

I’ve faced worse than this. Survived worse odds than this. I won’t let this failure break me.

We have 72 hours to turn this around.

72 hours to make a new plan out of the dregs of the old.

72 hours until all hope is lost.

This task is impossible, but I still like my chances. I have an ace in my pocket and his name is Mason Cain. He might not want to help me, but I don’t plan on giving him a choice in the matter.

My name is Rosalie Oscura. And I refuse to let anything beat me.

This series is set in the world of Solaria five years after Zodiac Academy and ten years after Dark Fae and book one was previously published as Darkmore Penitentiary. There is some character crossover but all series can be read independent of each other without spoilers. The female lead will end up with more than one love interest.

Review

This book was provided by the authors in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti!

Feral Wolf is the third book in the Darkmore Penitentiary series and continues the story of Rosalie and her men.

I don’t know where to start my review. Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti did it again. They broke my heart with the ending of Feral Wolf. This book was so intense but also so good. I really loved reading about Rosalie and her men again, and I don’t know whether I have enough patience or not to wait for the second book. So many crazy things happened in this book and I loved the countdown chapter headers. They gave me even more anxiety while reading this book.

"You’re a thorn which has worked its way beneath my skin, Twelve, and I’ve found that I enjoy the feel of you there too much to even try and pull you out."

I love how much the men have changed from book 1 ’till now. I’ve always loved Cain, Ethan and Roary, but they kind of changed and became even more lovable. Although I mentioned in my previous review that I like Sin, I’m not so sure now. We got to read a lot more in his perspective or about him, and I don’t mind his craziness, but sometimes he was a bit annoying. There were moments that I really liked him and then he f’d up and did something stupid. But I have a feeling he’ll do better in book four.

"You’re a warrior, a survivor and you’re more beautiful for every mark upon your flesh."

Feral Wolf was such an amazing book and I would’ve finished it in one day if I’d have the time. This book is so addictive filled with action and spicy scenes, and it will keep you on the edge of your seat. After finishing Feral Wolf, I’m now anxiously waiting for the next book because I need more of Rosalie and her men! I want to thank Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti for creating such an amazing and addictive world, and please hurry up with the fourth book!

I started reading in Dutch, my native language, but then I discovered the English section in my library and fell in love with English books. On my book blog you can find book reviews and book hauls where I share what I’m currently reading, what I loved and which books I recommend picking up. Whether you enjoy fantasy, romance or young adult, you will find lots of different titles on my blog. My goal is to help other book loves find their next favourite read! Besides books, I occasionally write about makeup, bullet journaling, and other topics. I really enjoy being creative, and I express this by playing with makeup or keeping a bullet journal.
