Synopsis

I was sold to my enemies.

There was a deal made to keep the peace. War wasn’t good for business. But deals were broken all the time. What did these powerful families have as collateral? Their daughters. A decade earlier, they decided that we were expendable, that we could be sold in marriage to keep their dealings honest. I didn’t matter more than the security I could bring to the marketplace. I was twelve when they decided that, in ten years, I’d belong to the Hernandez family. Everyone knew what was coming for me. Everyone … except me.

I have no choices. The daughter of mobsters, I now belong to the Mexican Cartel. But even the terrible images those words evoke are nothing compared to what is coming for me. My new family will discover I am more than just a pawn in their chess game. I’m named after a flower, but I don’t wilt. I am determined to come out ahead in their Mafia Wars.

*Gunmetal Lily is a full-length reverse harem novel in the dark and twisted Mafia Wars world * Recommended 18+ due to mature language, adult situations, and sensitive content

Review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Rebecca Royce!

Gunmetal Lily is a standalone Mafia Romance set in the Mafia Wars world. This book tells the story of Lily and her Mexican Mafia men.

Gunmetal Lily is the first book I’ve read by Rebecca Royce and it won’t be the last one! Gunmetal Lily is set in the Mafia Wars world, a world with 6 mafia families who promised their daughter to another mafia family to ensure peace. The concept of this ‘book series’ is so interesting, and I really enjoyed Rebecca Royce’s take on the Mexican Mafia.

I really enjoyed reading Gunmetal Lily, and discovering more about Lily, Alejandro, Francisco and Javier. Lily wasn’t aware that she had to marry a stranger from another mafia family, and that gave this story a fun twist. I liked reading in Lily’s perspective and getting to know the men in her point of view. I don’t really have a favourite, Alejandro, Francisco and Javier all have a special place in my heart. Without spoiling anything, I really liked Lily and Alejandro together, they had some very special moments!

Gunmetal Lily was another amazing book set in the Mafia Wars series, and I really liked Lily’s story. Gunmetal Lily is a well-written Romance read that you want to finish in one sitting. I’m really happy that I picked up this book, and I’m looking forward to reading more books by Rebecca Royce! I’m also really excited for the other books in the Mafia Wars world and I cannot wait to meet the other mafia families!
