Synopsis

By the end of the day my best friends will all be dead….

I’m not very interesting. Most people just leave me alone. I’m poor and on my own more than I’m not.

Lately, however, I’ve caught the attention of five guys who I never expected to know. Rowan. Ace. Tanner. Griffin. Caesar. They are rich. Powerful. Gorgeous. Sometimes they set things on fire. And, they’re loaded with secrets they won’t tell me. I think I want to know what they’re hiding. I’m wrong.

Once they share their truths with me, I’ll never be the same. It turns out, everyone is a servant of the darkness, whether they know it or not.

*The reader should be aware this is book 1 of 3. The happy ending comes with book 3. The heroine is stronger than she knows, the guys filled with depths they can’t imagine, and the heat will build from sweet in this novel to very intense by book 3. Please read accordingly. You have been warned.*

Review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Rebecca Royce!

Servant is the first book in the Trials of Blood series and tells the story of Maci and her guys, Ace, Caesar, Griffin, Rowan and Tanner.

Servant is the second book I’ve read by Rebecca Royce and this one was so different from the first book I’ve read by her. The first book was Gunmetal Lily, a Mafia Romance, and Servant is a Fantasy Romance. So since this book was a different genre, I didn’t know what to expect. But I’m really happy that I picked up this book because I really enjoyed reading it! The story was so interesting and I was kind of sad when I finished reading Servant because I didn’t know this book was going to be part of a trilogy. But oh well, a trilogy means two more books about Maci and her guys!

Servant tells the story of Maci, Ace, Caesar, Griffin, Rowan and Tanner. As you may have noticed by the number of guys, Servant is a Reverse Harem Romance. Sometimes the difficulty with RH is that the guys can be too similar, but I didn’t have that feeling with the guys in Servant. They all had their own personality with different traits. I really liked getting to know Maci and the guys, but I wish we got to know them even better! Let’s hope book 2 shows more of their personality.

I really loved Gunmetal Lily, so I did have some expectations for Servant. Although I really enjoyed reading this book, I do have to admit that the beginning was a bit mehh. But the more I read, the more I wanted to get to know the characters and wanted to know how the story was going to end. I’m really happy that I gave this book a chance because now I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series, Paramour. I’m so excited to read more about Maci and the guys, so let’s hope book 2 will be out soon!
