Review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you MSJ!

No Other Love is MSJ’s second poetry collection and is about love, heartbreak, intimacy, womanhood, and embracing pain. Next to poems, this collection also has photographs taken by the author in them.

I will never love you, but I will always
remember when I felt unloved by you.

I liked reading Depersonalise, MSJ’s first poetry collection, and when MSJ reached out to me to read and review her second collection, I was really happy! No Other Love seemed like such an interesting and beautiful collection with different topics and photographs. The first thing that I noticed was the cute cover, I think it matches the poems perfectly.

If you could not have me, why must you recreate me
through the body of another. They will never be me

Just like with the first poetry collection, I wished that No Other Love was a bit longer. Once I was into the poems and started connecting to some of them, I was already at the end of the book. But besides that, there were some beautiful poems in this collection. I really like reading about the topics in No Other Love. If you love reading short poetry collections, then this book is perfect for you!
