Synopsis
Haley Howell has had a hopeless crush on her brother’s best friend, Jake Lexington, for as long as she can remember. Too bad to him, she’ll forever be off-limits. But with senior year and acceptance to a college outside their tiny southern town of Culler, South Carolina, comes new confidence. Haley’s ready to get Jake to notice her—whatever it takes.
No one in Culler notices the real Jake anymore—to them, he’s nothing more than the star football player or the kid with the family tragedy. When one mistake lands him in community service, he’s shocked to find his best friend’s little sister there, too, looking cute as hell and threatening all his no-friends-with-benefits rules. But Jake isn’t ready to take a chance, no matter how crafty Haley’s willing to get to prove him otherwise…
Review
This book was provided by the publisher through Chapter by Chapter in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Entangled: Crush and Chapter by Chapter!
The Crush Collision is the second book in the Southern Charmed series and tells the story of Haley and Jake. Even though The Crush Collision is the second book in the series, it can be read as a standalone.
Every time I see that Entangled Teen is coming out with another Contemporary, I have to read it. So when Chapter by Chapter was hosting a blog tour, I immediately signed up! I love every Entangled book, so I was so excited to read The Crush Collision, and it was an amazing read!
I really loved the story in general, and I really liked the characters. Haley and Jake are both going through stuff and I think that every teenager can relate to some of the problems they are going through.
I also love the ‘falling for your brother’s friend’, it’s one of the many tropes that I really love and Danielle Ellison did an amazing job! The Crush Collision was well written and fast paced!
I cannot wait to read the first book in the Southern Charmed series, The Sweetheart Sham!
