Synopsis
The #1 New York Times bestselling Red Queen series comes to a stunning conclusion in War Storm.
VICTORY COMES AT A PRICE.
Mare Barrow learned this all too well when Cal’s betrayal nearly destroyed her. Now determined to protect her heart—and secure freedom for Reds and newbloods like her—Mare resolves to overthrow the kingdom of Norta once and for all … starting with the crown on Maven’s head.
But no battle is won alone, and before the Reds may rise as one, Mare must side with the boy who broke her heart in order to defeat the boy who almost broke her. Cal’s powerful Silver allies, alongside Mare and the Scarlet Guard, prove a formidable force. But Maven is driven by an obsession so deep, he will stop at nothing to have Mare as his own again, even if it means demolish everything—and everyone—in his path.
War is coming, and all Mare has fought for hangs in the balance. Will victory be enough to topple the Silver kingdoms? Or will the little lightning girl be forever silenced?
In the epic conclusion to Victoria Aveyard’s stunning series, Mare must embrace her fate and summon all her power … for all will be tested, but not all will survive.

Review
War Storm is the fourth and final book in the Red Queen series and continues Mare’s story.
Love can be exploited, I guess, used to manipulate. It’s leverage. But I would never call loving someone else a weakness. I think living without love at all, any kind of love, is weakness. And the worst kind of darkness.
I’m glad that I finally finished the Red Queen series, besides the novella, because it’s such a good series and I enjoyed every page. I really like the world Victoria Aveyard’s created and the characters are so hard not to like!
You forged this crown yourself – now wear it. Or don’t.
Like in every book, I cannot get enough of Mare and Cal, they’re one of my favourite couples and I love reading memes about them on Pinterest. It’s one of my guilty pleasures! Besides Mare’s perspective, we also read in Evangeline, Iris, Maven and Cal’s perspective. I really like that we got to read in Evangeline, Maven and Cal’s perspective, but I didn’t really care about Iris.
When she moves, I realize her hair is different too. The gray ends are gone, replaced by a beautiful, familiar purple.
War Storm was such a good book, and I really liked the ending. Not everyone was really happy with how War Storm ended, but I really liked it. *spoiler ahead* You just know deep down that Mare and Cal belong together and that they will see each other one day! I loved this series and I cannot wait to read Broken Throne!
