It’s been awhile since I bought this many books, so I thought I’d make a blog post about all the books I bought in August. I bought all of them myself except one book I won in a giveaway.
PHYSICAL BOOKS
1. The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer
So the first book I bought in August was The Chemist by Stephenie Meyer. I bought the Dutch version because it was on sale and I’ve always wanted to read this book and see if she could write something that wasn’t a YA Fantasy.
2. Opium by Marian Mudder
I bought this book together with The Chemist because it was cheaper to buy two books than just one book. I’ve never heard of the author or the book before I saw it in the store, but the story sounded interesting. It is unfortunately a Dutch book so some of you won’t be able to read this one, I’m sorry. I barely read Dutch books or books written by Dutch/Belgian people, so I’m really curious about this book.
3. Apollyon (Covenant #4) by Jennifer L. Armentrout
When I buy books on Amazon, I always order a minimum of two books and this time I bought Apollyon and Midnight Sun. I’m in love with the Covenant series and I have been buddy reading this series with Sophie, from Eyes of Owls. I just need to know how the series is going to end and that’s why I bought this book. It’s the fourth book in the series and after this one, there’s one book left. Sophie and I haven’t picked a date yet for our buddy read but I hope we’ll read it in September!
4. Midnight Sun (Twilight #5) by Stephenie Meyer
I’m a bit embarrassed to say that Midnight Sun was also a buddy read with Sophie, but she finished it before me. August has been a really busy month for me, I’ve been working a lot and starting my adult life, so I haven’t had the time to read that much. On top of that, I had to finish 3 ARCs in August so I still haven’t finished Midnight Sun. Luckily Sophie totally understood and we still talked about Midnight Sun together.
5. Moonflower by Sabina Laura
So if you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know that I love reading poetry. I also love discovering new poets and I do this by requesting ARCs on Netgalley and by buying poetry books. Moonflower has been on my wish list for a while and I wanted to buy it as soon as I could. Luckily, Do, from What Do Reads, did a giveaway for this book and I won the giveaway! I’m really excited to read this beauty (it has illustrations!!!!).
EBOOKS
1. Bitter Pills (The Bullets #4) by Coralee June
And the last book I got was an ebook bought via Kindle Unlimited. I’ve been a big fan of Coralee June’s books, and I recently discovered The Bullets series. I really loved reading Bitter Pills, it was such a good book and everything that I needed. I really recommend this series if you like reading Reverse Harem books.
