The Den of Sin | Release day blitz

Title: The Den of Sin
Author: Eva Winners
Release date: 29 October 2021

Synopsis

Vasili Nikolaev.
Dangerous. Deadly. And most of all, devastating.

He’s the king of New Orleans.
Ruler of the Russian mafia and my best friend’s oldest, mouthwatering brother.

On Halloween night my last year in college, I gave him everything. My body. My heart. My soul.

He burned it all to the ground with the first ray of dawn.

Lessons learned. I’ve moved on. Now, five years later, I have a career I love, a boyfriend. But Vasili is back in my life again. A temptation I don’t need.

One thing is for certain. Nikolaev always settles the score.

He’ll destroy everything and everyone, including my boyfriend.

The question is… What is Vasili’s end game? Will he destroy me all over again or will I be the Phoenix rising from the ashes he left behind and take what I’ve always wanted? Him.

Review

This book was provided by the author through Give Me Books Promotions in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Eva Winners and Give Me Books Promotions!

The Den of Sin is a Dark Russian Mafia standalone about Isabella and Vasili.

She was my oxygen, my heartbeat, and I didn’t give a fuck about anything else.

The Den of Sin is the first book I’ve read by Eva Winners, so I didn’t really know what to expect when I started reading. And let me tell you that Eva Winners surprised me. The Den of Sin is such an interesting book filled with some tropes: age gap, mafia and best friend’s brother. The age gap is kind of a new trope for me, I think I’ve only read three other books with this trope, and I think Eva Winners did such a good job with this one. I don’t always like the age-gap trope, but I didn’t mind it in The Den of Sin, I even loved it!

"You are mine. Mine to fuck. Mine to protect. Mine to love."

The Den of Sin starts with a prologue that happened five years ago and then continues the story five years after the prologue. I really liked the five-year-gap because it shows how much Isabella has changed and how she’s processing what had happened in the prologue. I really liked reading about Isabella and Vasili because they’re such interesting characters, and you want to know more about them. I really liked reading in Isabella and Vasili’s POV, and I couldn’t get enough of them. Their chemistry, their spicy scenes, … AMAZING!

"You might not need me, malyshka, but I need you."

The Den of Sin was such an enjoyable read and what I loved the most about this book was the two Halloween parties. I love Halloween so it’s always nice to read about Halloween in books! But besides the Halloween stuff, I also really loved reading about Isabella and Vasili. I really liked the story in general and I really liked getting to know the main characters and seeing them grow towards each other! Eva Winners did such an amazing job with this book and I’m excited to read more of her books!
