Synopsis
He’s the kind of wrong that ruins you for anyone else.
I talk to the dead for a living, which means my social life is exactly what you’d expect—completely flatlined.
But when a black envelope appears on my desk with an invitation to the All Hallows’ Eve Ball, the spirits whisper warnings in my ear. Stay away.
I should have listened.
Instead, I’m at a fae party where something goes terribly, violently wrong. My connection to the dead vanishes, replaced by something wild and hungry clawing beneath my skin. Something that makes me want to run, to hunt, to tear things apart with hands that suddenly have claws.
Then I meet him.
Dark, dangerous, and looking at me like I’m prey. Every instinct screams to flee, but when he follows me into the woods, when he catches me... I’m the one who pounces. Who can’t stop inhaling his scent. Who wants to sink my teeth into his throat and mark him as mine.
This isn’t me. I don’t lose control. I don’t crave violence. I definitely don’t let strangers whisper dark promises about keeping me forever while their hands make me forget why I ever wanted to escape.
My magic is gone. This feral need has taken its place. And the man pinning me against a tree, teaching me to breathe through the transformation ripping me apart from the inside?
He might be my salvation.
Or he might be the darkness the ghosts tried to warn me about.
Either way, I’m already lost.
Some hungers, once awakened, can never be satisfied.
Trick Me is a dark, spicy standalone paranormal romance featuring feral attraction, and fated mates who fight their bond until it’s too late. Set in a world where magic and monsters rule, Trick Me guarantees a happily ever after. Perfect for readers who like their romance with bite, their heroes morally gray, and their heroines discovering their wild side.

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Mila Young!
Trick Me is the sixth standalone book in the fourth season of Immortal Vices and Virtues: All Hallows' Eve, and tells the story of Erynn and Ash.
Trick Me is already the second to last book in the fourth Immortal Vices and Virtues season. It's kind of surreal that there will only be one more book after this, and then there will be no more other books in the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe... For those that haven't heard of the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe, this universe is a book universe with four seasons. Each season has a number of standalone Romantasy books written by different authors or author duos. Each book in this universe ends with a happy ending, and sometimes you get to read about characters that have been mentioned in a previous book. Every book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues world is about finding one's true mate.
Let's talk about Trick Me. Trick Me is a novella set in the fourth Immortal Vices and Virtues season, called All Hallow's Eve. Like all the other books in the fourth season, Trick Me has a cover with cute illustrations matching the story. For Trick Me, there's a wolf on the cover because the male main character is a wolf shifter, his name is Ash. The female main character is Erynn, and she can talk to the dead. Although this is a novella, I still saw some character development. It was kind of cringe that Erynn called Ash "Master" during a spicy scene, but besides that, the characters were nice.
"You're hot, mysterious, cursed and prophecy-approved?"
"What can I say? I'm the whole damn package."
In this book, there are some characters mentioned from other books. We meet Tamsin and Max, they're from Hex Me (fourth season) and Khaos, Eryx, Tallis and Billie are mentioned, they're from Mark Me (second season).
Trick Me was a fun read, but again, it wasn't my favourite in the fourth season. Although Halloween is my favourite time of the year, this is my least favourite season of the Immortal Vices and Virtues books I think. Don't get me wrong, these novellas are still enjoyable to read and perfect for when you want a break from big books, but for some reason I'm not fully enjoying these books. I have a few favourites in the All Hallows' Eve season, but there are also some let-downs... Let's hope we can finish the fourth season with a banger. I'm looking forward to reading the next (and final) book in the Immortal Vices and Virtues universe!
