January make-up expenses

Week 1
Catrice Glam & Doll False Lashes Mascara Waterproof €3.99
Catrice Glam & Doll Volumizing Mascara Primer €3.99
Catrice Prime and Fine Pore Refining And Anti-Shine Base €4.59
Eyelure Enchanted Rose False Lashes €5.00
Nyx Nude Matte Shadow 09 Get Naked €5.10
Nyx Nude Matte Shadow 14 Bare My Soul €5.10
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil 615 Slate €6.20
Lush Catastrophe Cosmetic Face Mask €11.50
The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion €20.00

Total: €34.07
(-€5.00 because my mum had a discount voucher of €5.00 for the store where I bought the Eyelure lashes)
(-€5.10 because I had a 50% discount on the Nyx Nude Matte Shadows)
(-€4.30 because I had a 70% discount on the Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil)
(-€17.00 because I had an 85% discount on the Vitamin C Microdermabrasion)

I went sales shopping in Antwerp with my mum and therefore I bought a lot of products, luckily some of them were in discount. I repurchased the Catrice Glam & Doll False Lashes Mascara Waterproof because it’s my all-time favourite mascara. I wanted to try out the Mascara Primer as well, but I haven’t yet because I had exams in January and I wasn’t really focused on trying new products. I haven’t tried the Catrice primer and the Eyelure lashes either, but I did try the Nyx Nude Matte Shadows, the Lush face mask and The Body Shop Microdermabrasion. I haven’t tried the Nyx Jumbo Ete Pencil either, but I already own another pencil so I know that it’s a good product. Just like the Nyx Nude Matte Shadows, I already own a few of these so I know that they are amazing. I also tried The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion on a daily basis, even if I didn’t leave my house, but I didn’t really notice a difference. And the last product for this week: the Lush face mask: I really liked this product and I have written a review, so make sure to check that out!

Week 2
Catrice Cosmic Body Sparkle Fluid €6.99
Catrice Dazzliner C01 Iridescent Eyes €3.49
Catrice Galactic Highlighter Drops 010 Spaceshuttle €4.99
Catrice Rock Couture Liquid Liner 040 These White Stripes €3.89

Total: €19.36

My mum went to Kruidvat and she saw that Catrice had 2 new limited collections so she immediately called me. I went for the Cosmic Body Sparkle Fluid and the Dazzliner from the Dazzle Bomb collection and the Galactic Highlighter Drops and the Rock Couture Liquid Liner from the It Pieces Holo Graphic collection. I really love eyeliners so this was definitely something for me! I haven’t tried both of these liners, but it seems like they are both a dupe for the Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner. The Cosmic Body Sparkle Fluid seems like a beautiful glitter to give your highlighter something extra or just for over the entire body. And the Galactic Highlighter Drops are so beautiful as well!

Week 3
Essence Glamour Lashes (from the Bring On the Lashes collection) €2.99

Total: €2.99

I wanted to try out another pair of Essence lashes because I was sure that their lashes weren’t as bad as the one from the winter collection. I tried out the lashes from the winter collection and they were horrible. I couldn’t bend them, they didn’t want to stick on my eyes properly even though I used the lash glue that I always use.

Week 4
Girls With Attitude Mythical lashes in Arielle €3.50
Nyx HD Photogenetic Concealer Wand in 00 Alabaster €7.20

Total: €10.70
When I visit the Primark, I always look for Girls With Attitude lashes because they are definitely one of my favourites alongside Ardell. The Mythical lashes are new in Primark because I’ve never seen them before and the style Arielle was the only style available at Primark. I do notice that the band isn’t invisible like the Fantasy lashes, but hey, who knows maybe they are as good as the Fantasy lashes! I also ran out of my concealer so I went to Nyx to repurchase my favourite concealer ever!
I spent a total of €67.12 this month and I think it’s okay in comparison to what I’ve bought this month. I haven’t tried everything out yet, but keep an eye out for my February favourites because perhaps some of these products will be in there. I did write a review for the Lush face mask (that I forgot to put with the rest of the products in picture one, oops!) that will be up in the middle of February, so keep an eye out for that!

My highlight combo is the first and the second colour and it’s just so blinding! I’m going to write a review for the City Color Highlight Quad so keep an eye out for that! And as you can see in the picture, I used it a lot this month!
  • Nabla Dreamy Matte Liquid Lipstick in Kernel
This is definitely one of my all-time favourite lipsticks! I got this lipstick as a Christmas present from my sister (yes, she bought me a lot of make-up). This lipstick is such a beautiful colour and it stays on for a really long time! This is also my first Nabla lipstick so I cannot wait to buy more lipsticks from Nabla!
  • Nabla Dazzle Liner in Cruel Jewel
I wore the Nabla liner once and since then it became my favourite. The liner, which I got for Christmas from my sister, is such a beautiful shade of red and so easy to work with! The liner has a very small brush, and you cannot go wrong with this eyeliner. I love wearing colourful eyeliner and this one is yet again another beautiful eyeliner!

Top 5 cancelled TV shows

I hate it when they cancel a TV show… There will always be someone that still want to continue the show. Well, here are my top 5 cancelled TV shows, these are all in alphabetical order!

1. Conviction (2016)
Conviction is about a team of 5 who reopen cases when they suspect there’s a wrongful conviction. This TV show is so good because it’s interesting and you also want to get to know the main character. She’s really special but you don’t know her entirely. Too bad that they cancelled Conviction… Make sure to check out the trailer!

2. Eye Candy (2015)
Eye Candy tells the story of Lindy, who starts online-dating because her friend made her. While going on dates with different guys, she suspects that one of them might be a deadly cyber stalker. Eye Candy was so good and so addictive! Make sure to check out the trailer!

3. The Secret Circle (2011–2012)
The Secret Circle is a TV show about witches. When all of them are together, they are able to unlock the full extent of their powers. The Secret Circle was such an interesting show about witches so make sure to check out the trailer!

4. Twisted (2013–2014)
Twisted is about Danny who was charged with killing his aunt when he was younger. He has spent five years in juvenile detention and then goes back to school. When a classmate was murdered, everyone thinks that Danny has done it… Twisted was so addictive and there’s such a big question mark at the end of the show. I want to know more but sadly I cannot! Make sure to check out the trailer!

5. Witches of East End (2013–2014)
Witches of East End tells the story of 4 witches, and 2 of them reincarnate all the time, but this time it’s their last life. This is yet another interesting TV show about witches. Make sure to check out the trailer!

So I Might Be A Vampire | Review

Title: So I Might Be A Vampire
Series: Chasing the Sun #1
Author: Rodney V. Smith
Pages: 410 pages
Version: Paperback (ARC)
Publisher: Lost Bajan Publishing
Release date: 13 February 2018
Rating: ★★★
*2.5/5 stars*

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Rodney V. Smith.

So I Might Be A Vampire tells the story of Bob and how he became a vampire. Bob hasn’t always been the perfect human, but he is an even worse vampire. As a human, he was a drug addict and now as a vampire, he’s a blood addict. A lot of bad things happen, but will Bob become a better, well-learnt vampire?

So I Might Be A Vampire changed everything about vampires. Rodney V. Smith created his vampire world where everyone thinks the TV vampires are the real vampires, but in reality, they are not. The vampires in Rodney V. Smith’s world are completely different. One of the things that I liked about this book was that Bob joked about how vampires are so different and that everyone thought Bob would be like ‘that’ and Bob proved us always wrong.

Now the more negative part of the review. I wasn’t really into the story. Don’t get me wrong, the idea was good and there was some character development, but I just couldn’t get into the story. There were numerous times that I thought of quitting, but because I got this book, I wanted to give it a chance and finish it. It was really hard to finish it and to be honest, I skimmed a few pages. It was just a long-winded story and just nothing for me.

I wish that I could’ve liked the story more, but I just couldn’t.

Fated Loss | Review

Title: Fated Loss
Series: Red Rose & Black Ash #1
Author: Claudia Caren
Pages: 250 pages
Version: Ebook (ARC)
Publisher: PaperHeart Press
Rating: ★

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Claudia Caren.

Fated Loss tells the story of Rose Kristal. Rose Kristal is the saviour of Astella, but she doesn’t know that any more because her memory was wiped. One day at school strange things began to happen, she could control water and fire, and when she came home to her grandma and grandpa they were talking about fairies?! Rose figured out the truth and is determined to save Astella, but will she be able to save the kingdom?

First of all, I want to say: LOOK AT THE COVER!!! I really love the cover. It’s so beautiful and it was definitely one of the reasons why I accepted this ARC!

Now let’s talk more about the book itself. Fated Loss is an interesting book. I love reading about fairies so I definitely liked the book. The story is kind of something new for me. I feel like with books about fairies, it’s always hard to be original. It’s almost always about learning your powers and defeating evil. I think that Fated Loss has some aspects that I’ve never read before so that’s definitely something good!

I do feel that the story was a bit rushed. It felt like that the author wrote the main idea of the book and added some bits and pieces, instead of a real big story. It does make the book fast-paced, but it felt like something was missing. It also seemed that everything was so easy for the characters. One minute they were doubting themselves and the next they were so confident. Rose has to defeat Queen Ash and she only has a few days to learn how to use her powers. I get that in books it’s always a little easier and faster to learn certain things, but it felt like that Rose never trained and that she still managed to defeat Queen Ash.

I liked Fated Loss, but I think there’s still some work for the author. I hope that Claudia Caren can nail the second book because I’m looking forward to reading it!

Choker collection

I LOVE LOVE LOVE chokers. I almost wear it every day. I think it gives your look something extra and it's kinda grungy and that matches my clothing and make-up style. I've been wearing chokers even before it became a trend. The good thing about it being a trend is that you can find chokers everywhere. You can find it online, clothing stores and accessory stores. I bought most of my chokers on the AliExpress website. They are cheap and beautiful. The rest I bought in H&M, Claire's, New Look and Primark!

From AliExpress:

A tip for the AliExpress ones: they might be a little long, so you just open the ends with a pair of pliers (or any other kind) and just cut a little of the fabric. After cutting a little part, just close the ends again with a pair of pliers and you're done!

From H&M:

From Claire's:

From New Look:

From Primark:
(The choker from the picture above is burgundy-coloured)
(These 3 pictures ↑ are taken on a different day, that's why they look different)

And I got 1 choker from someone, so I don't know where she bought it:

I hope you guys liked this post and let me know which one is your favourite! 🖤

Title: Incrusted: Hiding the Demon Within
Series: Werepire Reverse Harem Romance #1
Author: Annora Wilson
Pages: 74 pages
Version: Ebook (ARC)
Release date: 16 January 2018
Rating: ★
This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Annora Wilson!

Incrusted: Hiding the Demon Within tells the story of Ingrid. Ingrid and her aunt are always moving and this is the first time that she could choose where they were staying because Ingrid is going to college. On the first day of college, strange things are happening and Ingrid doesn’t know what to do. She’s always had these visions, but one that day she meets a man with red eyes. And since that they, everything changed…

First of all, I want to say that I love the cover! Just look at it!!!

Incrusted: Hiding the Demon Within is such a good paranormal book about vampires, werewolves, witches and warlocks. I think that this story is even better because Ingrid is a hybrid, a werepire. I also love Ingrid is a character and there’s this kind of love triangle. You either are team Derek, aka team werewolf, or team Nathan, aka team vampire. I’m definitely team Nathan!!!

Incrusted: Hiding the Demon Within is such an interesting and fast-paced read. I read it in one go because it’s not that long, but it does have a good story. I loved Incrusted: Hiding the Demon Within and I cannot wait to continue this series!

I had always felt like a stranger to the world etched in charcoal. The absence of the vibrant hues of color gave me a strangling feeling; a feeling that was unexplainable, a feeling that made my whole body shudder with an unbearable pain. The blindness, the fear of the unknown and the wretched memories attached to it, pinched several holes into my defenseless soul.
My soul-shattering agony wasn't unknown to him either, in fact, I even had the delusion that he understood my pain in a way that no one else could ever fathom. But, it didn't take him a blink of an eye to throw me right into the arms of darkness!
And now I was running in the middle of an unknown forest, from a bunch of enemies whom I never saw before. My enemies were as unknown to me as this ruffling forest, that was covered in an ominous veil of darkness. As the strong fragrance of blood and rotten flesh numbed my nostrils, all I knew was that I was running amidst an endless row of giant pine trees.
"Don't look back!" I whispered to myself. My weak voice got overshadowed by the thunder like sounds of my panicked breaths. My heart had forgotten its sense of rhythmic breaths and was now pounding like crazy. Fulfilling the demand of the adrenaline rush in my body I ran, I ran with my full speed, yet I couldn't escape them. Even my full strength was falling short in front of those night beasts. My aunt always taught me to trust my own strength, she told me that my belief in myself was far stronger than any force in this whole universe. Everything was gone, forget confidence, I wasn't even sure if I knew myself anymore!
The hungry howls of those baying night creatures froze my senses. They were getting closer with each passing second, I had no idea how much more pressure my bruised feet could handle. I knew that I was fighting a lost battle, they were the shadows of the devil, it wouldn't take them a minute to kill me. But something inside me refused to accept defeat.
"I don't want to die like this" I cried with my broken voice, aiming for the sky. Though I knew that there was no one listening to me, I knew my prayers would bounce back from the sky, then also I prayed, I prayed with the little ray of hope, that told me that this wasn't the end for me. My feet gave up, the pain was unbearable, it felt like the white blankets of snow were made up of thousands of sharp pointed needles. The once green pine tree that now looked like it was showered in the snow, offered me its branch to lean on.
I rested my back against that giant pine tree to calm down my heaving chest. The cold bark was hard on my back, yet it soothed me somehow.
And for a moment, it felt like the world stood still, the silence was comforting yet horrifying at the same time. I had no idea what the next moment could bring.
After taking some deep breaths when I dared to look back, my hazy vision could detect some red footprints stained against the white snowy carpet. The slight hint of moonlight on the dove gray sky was making the white snow shine like glitter. My eyes got widened in alarm, Great! now it wouldn't even take them a minute to find me, I thought while banging my head against the rough bark of the pine tree. The distant sound of howling had now turned into an aggressive and urgent grunting. I needed no more directions to detect that the bunch of werewolves had found me and were ready to rip my heart apart from my exhausted body.
I had no idea how many miles I had run, but all the muscles of my body were worn out and I had no once of strength left in me. When I tried to move, my feet slipped, I lost my balance and fell down. My face crashed into the icy ground, the dripping blood from my mouth, colored the white snow into saffron color. Before I could realize anything else, the shadow of a tall figure blinded my eyes. I knew who it was and what he wanted, I had reached the dead end and now there was no escaping.
About the author

Thank you for stopping by to read about me. My name is Annora, I was a studious girl in my high school, I always loved to read and write stuff. I used to write stories when I was in school. Now, when I look back, they seem quite amusing to me :):). When I got into college, I pursued my passion for writing, I really loved it as a hobby. Then Twilight came out. I absolutely loved the series. I finally found the genre that I loved. Somehow these vampire, werewolves and paranormal genre, in general, intrigued me so much.
I love to see how human relations work, I have always been fascinated with the human psychology. When I write my characters, I get to know them much better. I get to know how they feel, how they perceive. This helps me a lot to understand myself and people around me. So my writing is like an Emotion Lab for me believe me, It has taught me so much!

I hope you like my work, Please feel free to contact me, I am always open to chats and discussions.
