Books
  • Eternal Reign (Age of Vampires #1), Eternal Shade (Age of Vampires #2) and Eternal Curse (Age of Vampires #3) by Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
I’ve been a fan of Caroline Peckham’s book for a while and I was so excited when she announced that she was going to write another vampire series with her sister. Eternal Reign, Eternal Shade and Eternal Curse are amazing books and I cannot get enough of the characters.
  • Fearless & Falling by Season Vining
I love reading books published by Entangled and when I got the opportunity to read this book, I couldn’t say no. Fearless & Falling is my first book by Season Vining and now I cannot wait to read her other books. Fearless & Falling was an amazing New Adult Romance.
  • Now That I Found You (Heart’s Compass #3.5) by Brooke O’Brien
I got to know Brooke O’Brien through a book blogger friend of mine and I love all of the books I’ve read by her. Brooke O’Brien is an amazing Romance author and all of her books have a beautiful message and her characters struggle with real-life problems. Now That I Found You is a novella in the Heart’s Compass series and I cannot wait to read the other books in this series!
  • Wolf Called (The Last Shifter #2) and Wolf Claimed (The Last Shifter #3) by Sadie Moss
I don’t read enough books about werewolves and I’m glad that I got to read the books in The Last Shifter series. Sadie Moss is an amazing author, and I love The Last Shifter series. Make sure to check out my reviews for these two books: Wolf Called ~ Wolf Claimed.

Make-up
  • Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Mannequin
Jeffree Star is finally available in Belgium, so I had to go to ICI Paris XL and swatch all of his lipsticks. I think it’s really hard to buy a lipstick online because the lipsticks aren’t always the same on the internet as in real life. I’m really pale so it’s even harder to find a good nude lipstick but Mannequin is the perfect shade for me!

Music
  • 11 Minutes by Halsey, Yungblud and Travis Barker
I’m a big fan of Halsey’s music and I’ve been non-stop listening to this song. It’s so addictive and I really like the meaning behind this song. I watched a video of Yungblud explaining the meaning behind this song and I fell in love with 11 minutes even more!

Vicious Irish | Review

Title: Vicious Irish
Series: Wild Irish #2
Author: Vi Carter
Version: Ebook (beta)
Release date: 2019
Rating: ★★★★★

Synopsis

The body count is rising. The only way to save Una is to let her go.

Una is the only person who has ever captured my attention. I’m grateful she only spends the summer with us. But now she’s here, all grown up, and this time, I don’t think I can stay away from her.

Una starts partying with Darragh, who’s wild an unpredictable. Bodies seem to stack up wherever he goes. Before, it annoyed me cleaning up his mess, but now I have Una to consider, Una to protect.

Our family isn’t the average. We are belly deep in the criminal world, and the closer Una gets to me, the closer she gets to my world which seems to be spiralling out of control.

The only way to stop her from seeing this world is to let her go, but now that I have her, I’m not sure letting her go is an option.

Review

Vicious Irish is the second book in the Wild Irish series and tells the story of Shane and Una.

I’ve read a few books by Vi Carter and this is definitely one of the most interesting series because I love Ireland and this whole series is about an Irish Mafia family. I really liked that Vi Carter decided to write this series because it’s a bit different than her A Broken Heart series and All of Me series.

I really loved the main characters, Shane and Una. They both want each other, but they can’t because they’re basically family. I really love complicated relationships because you really get to know the characters. You get to see whether they’ll risk it all or not. The double perspective also really helps with getting to know the characters, you can read what they’re thinking and feeling.

I also loved that Vi Carter gave Finn and Shiobhan an appearance in Vicious Irish so we know how they’re doing. For those that don’t know: Finn and Shiobhan are the main characters from Wild Irish. I’m happy that I could read about them again because I really liked them.

Vicious Irish was an amazing sequel and I cannot wait to read the other books in the Wild Irish series and I’m curious which brother will be the main character in the third book.

Review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti!

Eternal Curse is the third book in the Age of Vampires series and continues the story of Callie, Montana, Magnar and Erik.

Eternal Curse started right where Eternal Shade left off and it was so good. The story was so well-written, there were so many good plot twists and the book was really fast paced. The Age of Vampire series is just such a good vampire series and I cannot get enough of it.

Just like in Eternal Shade, we read in Callie, Montana, Magnar and Erik’s perspective. I’m glad that we have a few chapters in Magnar and Erik’s perspective because we get to know bits and pieces from their past. I also love reading in Callie and Montana’s perspective because they’re both so different.

I didn’t really have a favourite sister in Eternal Curse, but I do have a favourite ‘boyfriend’ at the moment. I really liked how Erik showed his true feelings in this book. He showed his vulnerable side and that made me melt. I still loved Magnar in this book, don’t get me wrong, but Erik was my favourite one this time.

I really loved Eternal Curse and I cannot wait to read the fourth book in the Age of Vampire series, Eternal Vow.

Wolf Claimed | Review

Title: Wolf Claimed
Series: The Last Shifter #3
Author: Sadie Moss
Pages: 208 pages
Version: Ebook (ARC)
Release date: 4 April 2019
Rating: ★★★★★

Synopsis

I wish this was our happily ever after. But it’s not.

My mates and I got what we wanted—we found Rhys’s sister. We should be celebrating, but the danger is far from over.

Our welcome into the Lost Pack was frosty at best, and tensions between old and new blood threaten to boil over. Crammed too close together, trapped by our fear, we’re hardly better off here than we were at Strand.

If my men and I can’t unite the two packs, they’ll tear each other apart before Doctor Shepherd and his hunters even have a chance to find us again.

I won’t let that happen.

My wolf has claimed each of these four men. And the deeper I fall in love with them, the more determined I am to create a real future for us.

But to do that, I’m going to have to fully accept the truth of who I am… and what I am.

Wolf Claimed is the third book in The Last Shifter series, a reverse harem story intended for ages 18+. This book contains strong language, violence, sexual situations, and a fierce heroine who doesn’t have to choose between her men.

Review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Sadie Moss!

Wolf Claimed is the third book in The Last Shifter series and continues the story of Alexis and her four shifters.

When I received my copy of Wold Claimed, I immediately started reading it. I love the world Sadie Moss has created and I cannot get enough of the characters. Wolf Claimed was an amazing sequel and so many things happened and I just loved it.

Like in all the books, I loved Alexis and her mates. Alexis has become such a strong and fierce woman and I admire her. I still don’t have a favourite mate because I love all of her mates. I really liked her moment with West, and if you’ve read the book, you know what I’m talking about. And to be honest, I don’t have to pick a favourite, haha!

Wolf Claimed was such a good book and I cannot wait for the fourth and final book in The Last Shifter series. Wolf Claimed ended with a massive cliffhanger and I need the last book!!!

Review

This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Louise Cypress!

When I read the synopsis of Narcosis Room I just had to read it. The story sounded so interesting and I wanted to know what this Narcosis Clinic is about and what was going to happen to the characters.

Narcosis Room started a bit slow and I was hard to go through the first few chapters, but once I was into the story, I really wanted to know what was going to happen. Narcosis Room was such an original story and the concept was so good. There were so many crazy plot twists and I just loved it!

I really liked how we got to discover the real Ellie and not the Ellie from the beginning of the book and I loved reading in her perspective. We also read in Dean, Cole, Ursula and Olivia’s perspective, but we read the most in Ellie, Dean and Cole’s perspective.

I really liked Narcosis Room because it was such an original book. I also really like the cover because it’s a beautiful representation of the main character Ellie. I cannot wait to read more books by Louise Cypress!

This book was provided by the author through Give Me Books Promotions in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Olivia Rose!

When We Fall is a Young Adult book about Erin and Mason. Mason is the new guy in town and everything changes when they meet each other.

When We Fall is the first book I’ve read by Olivia Rose and I really enjoyed the story. When We Fall is a high school story about bullies, unrequited love, heartbreak, loss and pain. The story was well written and fast paced.

I really liked the main characters because they were both so different. Erin is more of a goth girl and Mason used to be a bad guy and is now somewhat badass. They have a special bond, and I loved reading about it.

I loved the ending of When We Fall after Erin’s speech because if you compare Erin from the beginning of the book to Erin from the ending of the book, she really became stronger as a person and that was just beautiful. When We Fall is a beautiful Young Adult and I really recommend it!

April Bullet Journal set up

It’s been awhile since I wrote another Bullet Journal set up post and that was mainly because I wasn’t always happy with what I've created. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and showing things that I don’t really like isn’t my thing. Don’t get me wrong, I really liked the set ups, but they weren’t that pretty, in my opinion.

If you’d like to check out my other BuJo set up posts:
So let’s start with the set up. First of all, we have my monthly spread. I decided to go with a purple theme because I recently got some beautiful washi tape with purple flowers. If you follow my Instagram, you’ve probably seen the washi tape on my story.

I’m not that happy with the lettering of April because it looks like ‘Aprile’ but I still wanted to share this monthly set up.

After my monthly spread, I always make a habit tracker page and I decided to make sleep trackers since March. I wanted to know how many hours per day I sleep as well as when I wake up in the night. Because of tracking my sleep, I discovered that I have a kind of pattern when I wake up in the middle of the night.

I’m not that happy with the lettering of ‘Habits’ but hey, I still need to practise and that’s okay!

After my trackers we have my weekly spread. I decided to do something really different and track my mood and water intake per week as well as create weekly lists of what I need to study, what I need to do and possible notes. I’m really happy how these pages turned out and I think I’m going to stick to this set up.

And the last page for my April set up is my wrap up and favourites page. The fifth week of April only has 2 days so I decided to put my wrap up and favourites on one page so I could save some more pages in my journal. You’ve already seen my wrap up set up from my November BuJo set up post, but I still wanted to share it anyway.

And that’s it. I hope you guys like this set up!

Review

This book was provided by the author through Xpresso Book Tours in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Ana Calin and Xpresso Book Tours!

Prince of Midnight is the first book in the Dracula’s Bloodline series and tells the story of Juliet and Radek.

The first thing that drew my attention was the cover. It’s such a beautiful cover and Radek is so hot… I’m not going to lie, a beautiful cover is always important. But besides a beautiful cover, a good synopsis is also important, and after reading the synopsis I was sold. I just had to read this book.

I really loved the concept of this book because it was so interesting. I’ve never read anything like this and I loved it. A lot of Supernatural Romances are somewhat the same but Prince of Midnight is really different, a good different.

Prince of Midnight was really fast paced and well written. I really enjoyed the characters and I really wanted to know how this book was going to end. Juliet is definitely my favourite character because she could see the beauty beneath the monster. I’m also curious to see what is going to happen to Radek.

Prince of Midnight was an amazing read and I cannot wait to read the sequel, Prince of Obsession!

Legion inspired make-up look | Tutorial

When I first created this look, I didn’t really think of Legion by Julie Kagawa, but then I was going through my TBR and then I saw that this look would be a perfect Legion inspired look. I’m so ashamed that I still haven’t finished the Talon series because I’ve had these books on my shelf for a while, oops!

I really loved playing around with the green and blue eyeshadow as well as my coloured eyeliner. I hope you guys love this look as much as  I do!

1. Prime your eyelids and set it with a translucent powder or white eyeshadow.

2. Use the blue/greenish eyeshadow in your crease.

3. Put a bright green eyshadow in the middle of your eyelid.

4. Fill up the space with the first colour and put it on your lower lash line. Then use the bright green again in your inner corner.

5. Put a green highlighter on top of the bright green in your inner corner.

6. Make a small wing with a green eyeliner.

7. Add mascara and lashes.

8. Highlight the highest points of your face with the same green highlighter from step 5.

9. And the final step is lipstick! I went for a brown colour to draw all the attention to my eyes.

And that’s it!

Top 5 things I'm afraid of

I usually share my top 5 favourite books or make-up products, but this time I wanted to share something more personal and real. (These fears are in a random order.)

1. Heights (Acrophobia)
I’m so afraid of heights. I try not to be as afraid of heights as I am, but sometimes I can’t help myself. I’m going to travel by plane in May and I’m really scared. I’ve never travelled by plane before, so I don’t know what to expect and it just seems so scary.

2. Seperation
I’m afraid of people rejecting me and I’m afraid of losing people. These two may sound stupid, but I’m sure that a lot of people struggle with this. It’s hard for me to face rejection, and it’s hard for me to lose people. In two years ago I lost my grandma and last December I lost my granddad. When my grandparents were in the hospital, my anxiety was so bad because I was so afraid to lose them and in the end I did.

3. Small spaces (Claustrophobia)
I’m afraid of small spaces, and I really struggle with it. I’ve been to the hospital numerous times and had to do scans and most of them were like a CT scan or a bone scan, and those are so creepy. And once I had to crawl in a dark tunnel underground with school (for fun, like what?!) and it was so scary. Even when I’m in an elevator, I get anxious because it’s so small.

4. Public speaking (Glossophobia)
I hate speaking in public or in front of a class and some days are worse than others. Some days I can manage, but some days I get so nervous that I just cannot talk or breathe. I’ve been speaking in front of a class since I was 9 years old and I still cannot do it properly. I just can’t handle it when everyone’s looking at me and listening to what I’m saying. I’m afraid of saying the wrong things even though they don’t know what my presentation is about etc.

5. Not enough time
I think it’s an anxiety thing, but I’m really afraid of not having enough time. It feels like I want to do so many things but I don’t have enough time to do all of those things in like one day or one week. I’m not sure how to explain this fear, but it’s just something I really struggle with.

What are you afraid of?

Fleeting | Blog tour

Title: Fleeting
Series: The Nash Brothers #1
Author: Carrie Aarons
Release date: 14 March 2019

Synopsis
Presley McDaniel lives her life from moment to moment.

Making permanent decisions means obligation, and that would force her to stop being the family disappointment. Waitress, fitness instructor, dog walker … you name the hourly job and she’s probably held the position.

But when her grandmother can no longer run her book shop in Fawn Hill, a town so small it barely has its own zip code, Presley steps up to help.

The move from bustling city to green pastures may be exactly what she needs to sort out her life. But she didn’t ask for that happy ending to include a gorgeous veterinarian with an all-American smile and a penchant for snuggling puppies. The good doctor is reliable, responsible, and just the kind of man Presley has always avoided.

Love and commitment are predictable.

So why, the moment she lays eyes on him, are they all she wants?

Keaton Nash has never questioned his steady path.

His brothers may tease him about settling into his father’s passed-down role of small town veterinarian, but Keaton has never minded his rural roots. And after tragedy struck two years ago, he has a duty as the eldest Nash man to look after his family.

What he doesn’t need is the sexy, flighty stranger who shows up in town and gets his broken heart beating again. Presley McDaniel is a distraction, a red-headed temptation that is the definition of a bad idea.

He’s barely recovered from the love who left him to chase bigger dreams, and this woman is bound to do the same.

Except for the first time ever, he wants to abandon stability.

She makes him want to be reckless.

Fleeting is the first book in The Nash Brothers series and tells the story of Presley and Keaton.

Fleeting is the first book I’ve read by Carrie Aarons and I really enjoyed the story. It was so well written and fast paced and I wanted to know when Presley and Keaton were going to fall for each other.

I love reading romances set in small towns because it’s always a bit more fun when there’s town gossip and everyone knows each other. I’ve read a few books like this one and I just cannot get enough of them.

Presley and Keaton are both enjoyable characters. They’re so different yet perfect for each other. I liked that we got to know them better through the double perspective.

I cannot wait to read the other books in The Nash Brothers series and learn more about Keaton’s brothers!

About the author

Fearless & Falling is a New Adult Romance about Angela and Logan.

I’ve never heard of this author before I got an email from Entangled Publishing, but I know that I like and even love almost every Entangled book I’ve read so far so I had to read this book. The synopsis sounded really promising, and I really liked the cover.

Fearless & Falling was an amazing NA Romance about a girl who’s been in love with a guy for almost her entire life and I really liked the story and the characters. I really loved Angela because she’s so sweet and sexy, and I also liked that Logan became a different person because of her.

Fearless & Falling wasn’t just a Romance story because it also deals with death and guilt, not liking your job, … I love it when authors make Romance stories more real by adding these ‘real-life struggles’. Fearless & Falling was such a good book, fast paced and well written! I cannot wait to read Chaos & Control!

Going Deep | Cover reveal

Title: Going Deep
Series: Imperfect Love #2
Author: Nikki Ash
Genre: Enemies to Lovers Romance
Cover designer: Juliana Cabrera
Cover image: Sara Eirew Photography
Release date: 6 April 2019

Synopsis
Going deep: In football it means running down the field for a long pass. You’re serious. Committed. Unstoppable. As a wide receiver, it’s a term I’m all too familiar with. It’s who I am, at least when it comes to my career.

For the past decade, football has been the only thing I’ve allowed myself to commit to. That is until a beautiful, blue-eyed temptress steps into my limo to escort me to a charity function.

She’s strong, independent, and quick witted. Everything I want in a woman. There’s just one problem. She’s not mine for the taking. But that’s not going to stop me from winning her heart.

I’m in deep with this woman. I’m running down the field with my arms and heart open, ready for the catch. Now all I need is for her to throw the ball.

Excerpt
Gently moving her body off mine, I get out of bed and go to the kitchen to start the coffee. While it’s brewing, I hear the sound of feet padding across my wood floor. Giselle appears in the doorway, still wearing my shirt and boxers. Her hair is messy from sleep, her face free of all makeup, and she looks gorgeous as hell. She grants me a shy, nervous smile. I know she wasn’t drunk last night, but my guess is she’s wondering if I regret everything we talked about. Needing her to know I don’t regret anything, I grin back. Her smile widens and then she throws her head back with a laugh, and fuck if it isn’t the most beautiful sound I’ve ever heard.
 “What?” I question.
“We’re all mad here. I’m mad. You’re mad,” she says through a fit of giggles, and the melodic sound has me grinning hard.
“An Alice in Wonderland quote?” I ask, even though I already know it is. After she told me to read the book, I googled ‘Alice in Wonderland quotes,’ and came across several. Who knew the author of children’s books could be so poetic?
“Yeah.” She nods with a smile.
I pull a mug down from the cabinet and hand it to her. She goes to take it, but I don’t let go. Instead, I use her grip on it to pull her closer to me. Her body presses against mine, and I tilt my chin down to kiss her. Only she turns her head to the side at the last second and my lips land on her cheek. Without letting go of her, I whisper, “I’m afraid we are mad. But I’ll tell you a secret. All of the best people are.” I have no idea if the quote is from the book or the movie. It’s one of the ones I found when I googled, but I’m sure she’ll tell me.
Giselle backs up, and shaking her head with a large grin splayed upon her face, says, “That’s from the movie, and I’m pretty sure, you didn’t even say it right. Read. The. Book.” Then, plucking the mug out of my hand, she goes about making her coffee. I study her as she flits around my kitchen like she belongs here. She grabs the milk and sugar from the fridge and adds them both to her coffee. Then she turns around and leans against the counter. Her foot pops up against the cabinet, exposing her sexy thigh. She lifts the hot coffee to her lips and blows on it. Her eyes come up slowly, and she peers up at me through her thick lashes.
“Thank you for last night,” she says softly. “It felt really good to be able to talk to someone about everything. Thank you for not judging me.”

Synopsis
All I've ever wanted was a family...

For so long, I had been walking through my life alone. Loss and heartbreak taught me not to wish for something because the moment you do, it can all be ripped away from you.

The day I met Callum, everything began to change. Falling in love with him and becoming his wife, I finally started to picture a future I never thought I would have.

Life has a way of testing me. My life is about to change in ways I never expected.

... now one man threatens to take it all away from me again.

Author's Note: This is a Novella in the Heart's Compass series. you do not need to read every book in the series, however it's strongly recommended that you read the first book, Where I Found You, in order to understand where their story began. Due to strong sexual content, coarse language and mature subject matter, this book is not suitable for under the age of 18.

Review
This book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Brooke O’Brien!

Now That I Found You is a novella in the Heart’s Compass series and it's recommended to read Where I Found You before the novella. Now That I Found You continues the story of Ellie and Callum.

I came across Brooke O’Brien because of a fellow book blogger, Melissa, and I’m so glad that I requested a copy of one of her books. Brooke O’Brien is an amazing Romance author and I love all of the books I’ve read so far (3 to be exact).

I think that Now That I Found You was an amazing novella and just everything that I needed. I really loved Where I Found You and I loved Ellie and Callum. Now That I Found You was such an emotional rollercoaster because so many things happened to Ellie in the past and she’s still struggling with it. And Callum … he’s definitely one of my favourite book boyfriends!

Now That I Found You was such a beautiful novella and I cannot wait to read more books by Brooke O’Brien!
