This book was provided by Caroline Peckham in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Caroline Peckham!

V Games tells the story of Selena Grey, who killed her step-father and therefore needs to go to prison. One night she meets this handsome man and the next moment she’s on an island with other girls. They need to participate in the V Games. Selena needs to survive and needs to reach the checkpoint in time. But it’s not as easy as you think. While surviving on the island, she must kill vampires or else they will kill her…
Besides having to survive the vampires and the V Games, she has another thing on her mind: Varick, the handsome man, excuse me: vampire, who brought her to the island…

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book about vampires, so I was craving for a good vampire book. I was so happy when Caroline Peckham reached out to me and asked me if I was interested to read V Games. V Games was the book that I needed!

V Games is such an amazing vampire book! I love Selena and Varick and I can’t get enough of them. I was non-stop reading V Games, it was so hard to stop and do something else. I was constantly thinking about the story and how it was going to end.

V Games is definitely one of my favourite vampire books and I cannot wait to read the sequel!

Top 5 favourite Halloween looks | Halloween

I love love love Halloween looks so I decided to share my favourite Halloween looks from 2017. I follow a lot of awesome YouTubers and these 5 looks are from YouTube channels I follow! Keep in mind that these looks are not in a specific order!

1. Laura Leth’s Pink & Purple Glitter Unicorn
I love Laura Leth, she’s so talented and beautiful! I love unicorn tutorials and when I stumbled upon this look, I immediately fell in love! You can find this look on YouTube and on her blog!

2. NinkComPoop’s Gothic Alice in Wonderland
I love NinkComPoop’s version of Alice in Wonderland. It’s so dark and cute and also easy to recreate! You simply got to buy a Alice in Wonderland dress (or if you’re creative, you can make it yourself) and do a dark smokey look with red tears. You can find this look on YouTube!

3. Jordan Hanz’s Pennywise
I love It and Jordan Hanz created an amazing version of Pennywise. Jordan Hanz is so talented and I love her Hanzoween series! You can find this look on YouTube!

4. Shaaanxo’s Spider look
I love Shaaanxo and when she created this cute spider look, I just had to share it. I’ve created a spider look myself so when I saw this one, I was sad that I’d already made mine. I love this look and definitely the purple! You can find this look on YouTube!

5. Evelina Forsell’s Grungy Pumpkin
I love Evelina Forsell because she’s so original and I love her style! I think that this pumpkin look is so cool and so different from my pumpkin look but a good different. I like the eye look and the lips. I cannot wait to recreate it myself! You can find this look on YouTube!

Pumpkin make-up look tutorial | Halloween

And this is my fourth and last make-up tutorial for Halloween. I’m kinda sad that’s already over, I love Halloween so much! I even think that it’s my favourite period of the year. But let’s not be too sad because I might do Christmas themed blog posts and make-up looks in December. I already have some ideas, but I’m not sure if I can do an entire month because I have to study for my exams in December. But, let me know if you think this is a good idea!
For this Halloween look we’re going to create a cute pumpkin look because pumpkins are Halloween. I hope you guys like my last Halloween look and are excited for next year (or Christmas)!

1. Prime your eyelids and set it with an eyeshadow.
2. Use an orange and brown eyeshadow in the crease.
3. Blend a yellow/orange eyeshadow with the other eyeshadows in the crease.
4. And the last colour we’re going to blend in the crease is a vibrant orange to make the look a little more orange. (I made these separate steps because it would make the collage a lot smaller.)
5. Use a gold/copper eyeshadow on the eyelid.
6. Draw a little line just above your lash line with a brown pencil. We’re also going to use the same pencil in the waterline.
7. Smudge the liner with the same orange and brown eyeshadow from point 2.
8. Use some highlight to brighten everything.
9. Make 2 blush circles with 2 different shades or orange.
10. Draw the mouth of the pumpkin with a black gel liner (I do recommend using SFX paint because the liner can crack easily).
11. Fill in the lips with black lipstick.
12. Draw the nose with black liner and fill it in with orange eyeshadow.
13. And the last step is mascara and falsies.

And you’re finished! 👻🎃❤

Pumpkin bookmark DIY | Halloween

I’ve already created a bat bookmark for Halloween and now I’m going to make a pumpkin bookmark! The good thing about this bookmark is that it’s smaller than my bat bookmark. I had never made a bookmark so I wasn’t sure which size everything had to be. Now that it’s my second time, I knew that I had to go a little smaller. BTW: the paper may seem weird, but that’s because I first folded everything and then unfolded it again to take pictures. I wanted to see if this time the size was better.

  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Orange paper
  • Green paper
  • Black paper
  • Wiggle eyes stickers

1. The first thing that you have to do is folding the orange paper diagonally on both sides and then fold it into a triangle.
2. Hold the top of the triangle and fold it towards the bottom of the triangle.
3. Fold both corners towards the bottom centre of the triangle.
4. Unfold both corners.
5. Take both corners and fold them towards the top of the triangle.
6. Tuck both upper parts into the pocket.
7. Glue the eyes onto the pumpkin together with the black mouth and the green top part.

And you’re finished! 👻🎃❤

Halloween book tag | Halloween

I can’t do a month of Halloween posts without doing a Halloween tag. I chose this tag, because I didn’t upload a lot of bookish blog posts, so I wanted to make up for it with doing the Halloween book tag. I really liked this tag so I hope you guys will like it too!

1. Carving pumpkins – what book would you carve up and light on fire?
I don’t hate a lot of books, but the last book that I hated was The Heart Goes Last by Margaret Atwood. It took me two weeks to finish the book, it was slow and boring. The concept was interesting but the story itself was poorly written.

2. Trick or treat – what character is a treat, what character is a trick?
Rheysand is a treat and Tamlin is a trick. *ACOTAR SPOILERS*: when I read the first book I loved Tamlin and he seemed like a nice guy but in reality he’s a dick (second and third book). Rheysand seemed to be the dick in the first book, but he is the damn treat you guys! I love him! For those who have not read A Court of Thorns and Roses: go do it! You will thank me later 😏

3. Candy corn – what book is always sweet?
I love the To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series by Jenny Han. That series is so cute and one of the best contemporary books in the world! I recently read the last book, Always and Forever, Lara Jean and I’m kinda sad that the series is over. But luckily, Jenny Han has another contemporary series: Summer, so that’s what I’ll be reading pretty soon!

4. Ghosts – what character would you love to visit you as a ghost?
I want to say Rheysand because I love him so much but I guess I need to find another guy that I love. I recently read a lot of books without a hot male character, but while scorlling trough my books on Goodreads, I read Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass #4) and I love Rowan… 😏 He’s so hot, just like Rheysand. (Thank you Sarah J. Maas for creating Rheysand and Rowan!!!) (See picture)

5. Dressing up in costume – what character would you want to be for a day?
Such a difficult question! To be honest, I don’t know who I would want to be for a day. I read a lot of genres, from fantasy to contemporary, … and there are a lot of different characters. Some of them go through hell while others just have to deal with being in love with someone and trying to figure out if that person loves them back or not (I know it’s not that easy, but hey, I think fighting monsters and all is a little more difficult). So I’m not going to choose someone, sorry (not sorry)!

6. Wizards and witches – what is your favourite Harry Potter moment?
Can I say every moment? I grew up with the Harry Potter movies and last year I binge read all the books. I love every bit of it and let me say that I cant’ name 1 moment to be my favourite!
I think that Harry Potter has such a big influence on a lot of people. A lot of us grew up with Harry Potter and made us believe in a lot of things. Even the generation that didn’t grew up with Harry Potter, are in love with HP. I think that this series is one of the best series in the world!

7. Blood and gore – what book was so creepy that you had to take a break from it for awhile?
I actually don’t like to read horror books. I love horror movies, but books scare the hell out of me! Most of the time I read when I’m in bed and everyone asleep, so it’s not nice to read a scary book when I’m the only awake!

I hope that you guys liked this tag and feel free to do it yourself! 👻🎃❤

Cat make-up look tutorial | Halloween

And the third Halloween make-up look is up on my blog! It’s already the third one! October is going so fast! For my third Halloween look I wanted to create a cat look because I love cats, I have a black cat and black cats are typical for Halloween. I hope that you guys like my cat look and let’s get started!

I also made these cat ears myself! I have a DIY post about it, so make sure to check it out!

1. Draw the lines of the big wing.
2. Fill in the wings.
3. Draw whiskers and the outline of the nose and upper lip.
4. Fill in the nose and connect the nose to the upper lip.
5. Fill in the lip with black lipstick.
6. Put on some highlight.
7. And the final step is mascara and lashes.
And you’re finished! 👻🎃❤

Cat ears DIY | Halloween

I created a cat make-up look so I either had to buy cat ears or make them myself. I’ve been feeling really creative lately so I decided to make my own cat ears. The cat make-up look will be up later this week!

  • Headband
  • Wire (either jewellery wire or small and flexible garden/flower wire)
  • Beads (make sure that the wire fits through the beads)

So let’s start!

1. Cut a 60 cm length of wire. It’s a little too long, but just to be sure. Fold the wire in 2 and place the headband in the centre. I kind of placed the wire somewhere but because of the little thingies (don’t know the name 😅) I could count where I put the wire so that on the other side it’s even.
2. Twist the wire until you think it’s enough and then place a bead on one of the two wires.
3. After placing the bead, you need to twist the wire again. Continue twisting and placing the beads until you have the desired number of beads and make sure to bend the wire into the shape of a cat's ear.
4. When you’ve reached the end, fold the wire and twist it a little.
5. Cut off the excess wire and you’re finished!

I hope you guys like this DIY! 👻🎃❤
